Brief
Encon, a company with over 600 employees, wanted to redesign their twelve-page quarterly internal newsletter. The goal was to shift the focus from product-centric content to celebrating employees, their achievements, and fostering a stronger sense of community within the company.

Outcome
I led a full redesign of Encon’s internal newsletter, starting with a content audit and quickly identifying a need for more human-centered storytelling. We shifted the focus to spotlight employee experiences, personal stories, and key company updates that mattered to people across all departments. The biggest challenge was creating something that resonated with such a diverse internal audience - so I worked closely with employees to gather feedback and make sure the content hit the mark and supported company goals. The final result was a fresh, friendly layout featuring employee photos, custom icons, and illustrations. It was clear, approachable, and easy to navigate while still staying true to the brand.

Results
The redesigned newsletter successfully revitalised the magazine, receiving a strong internal response, including the highest number of entries to the back-page competition ever. The Encon team was so impressed with the work that we are now producing Ensights every quarter, further solidifying the project’s success and ongoing impact on internal communications.
